Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel Des Arts, an IHG Hotel

Staff was super helpful. We needed a babysitter and they had one they work with who was excellent and kept the kids engaged (ie, they weren't sitting in front of the tv/screen-based devices all evening). Location is right on the main boulevard that leads from the autoroute exit to Piazza Bra, where the Arena is located. From hotel it's a five minute walk to Arena. Excellent location. Another plus was the breakfast: a wide variety of foods to choose from; kids were thrilled with pancakes and waffles and a sort of hash-brown, which the staff cooked up expressly when they were finished. We stayed only one night, but would return. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location! The staff are so friendly and helpful and gave us excellent dinner recommendations as well as great sight seeing tips. The room was lovely, the bed was super comfortable and ample storage space for clothes, cases etc. The breakfast was also good with amazing coffee and super friendly staff. The hotel bar was cute. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were excellent . So much so after we left the hotel we rented a car and went to Modena and ran out of battery on our phones and couldn’t make our way back to lake Garda . We found our way back to indigo hotel in Verona and The receptionist let us charge our phone and gave us a cable for the car . We were able to get make swiftly to our hotel in lake Garda that night . To note James in the bar prepared food for us which delicious which we needed as hadn’t eaten . Thank you again to the team in your hotel

Since I last visited the hotel, it has undergone a number of changes eg name, decor, uniforms etc. However, it was lovely to see several familiar faces on arrival and to receive such a warm welcome back. Thankfully standards are still superb throughout with reception staff in particular going the extra mile to offer advice, information and assistance. Although I had initially booked room only, I added breakfast to my reservation and was glad that I did as the choice, and quality of food/drinks was excellent and the new bright decor in the breakfast room makes a huge difference. I was allocated a beautiful room overlooking Corsa Porta Nuova with a super comfortable bed, a large shower room and full amenities and facilities. In my opinion, the hotel is situated in one the best locations in Verona being very close to the centre of the city with its beautiful architecture, historic sites and myriad facilities but not in the midst of the noise and bustle when things are busy.
